If you’re anything like us, you love eating as much as (if not more than) your partner in crime (and life etc.). Luckily, on the good old GC, you can combine the two and nobody ever has to know where your loyalties really lie.
Here’s a collection of some lovely little events you should book yourself into quick smart because Valentine’s Day is only a week away and do not be that person who leaves it until the last minute (again). Listed from north to south.
Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Resort
Get fancy up north with white sand beaches and crystal blue views. The Resort’s lush tropical grounds will be transformed a sanctuary of romance and adorned with candlelights. You’ll be treated to an arrival flute of Chandon Brut NV and an evening spent indulging in Executive Chef, Matt Hart’s three-course Valentine’s Day menu. $69 per person.
Treat yourself to the San Valentino dinner at Fellini on the water at Marina Mirage. You’ll be indulging in a six course degustation menu including a glass of sparkling wine and all the water views you could possible hope to lay your eyes upon. $140 per person.
Southport Yacht Club
Celebrate the day of love overlooking the shimmering lights of the Broadwater and the clubs 300 berth marina complete with the kind of shiny yachts your wildest dreams are made of. You’ll get a four course dinner and glass of sparkling wine on arrival. From 6.30pm until late. $79 per person.
QT Bazaar Marketplace
Well, this one is sure to be a good time. Bazaar is offering it’s famed marketplace spread complete with live acoustic music, a gift per couple (tick that off the list), a take home polaroid pic and an exclusive cocktail and aphrodisiac station (good grief). So after dinner should be a good time too. $99 per person – book here.
If funky Japanese hues and subtle glamour are more your style, Yamagen Restaurant is the go. Offering bubbles on arrival, a stunning Omakase style set menu curated by Executive Chef Adam Lane and lots of cosy corners, your love will be eating from the palm of your hand! Literally. Things are getting saucy up in here. $89 per person – book here.
Watermark Hotel & Spa
Fuelled by their passion for the naked flame of their 10-burner grill, Clifford’s chefs have put together a Valentine’s Day dinner menu including several of their most-loved dishes. Choose two or three courses from the Clifford’s Valentine’s Day menu which includes freshly shucked oysters, seared Wagyu beef, Atlantic salmon, char-grilled chicken and jumbo king prawns. All the tasty things really. From $58 per person.
Novotel Surfers Paradise
How’s a bit of romance under the stars for your Wednesday night? Dinner for two on the Poolside Terrace features a next-level Seafood Tower including prawns, oysters, mussels, Barramundi, calamari, octopus salad, onion rings, fries and salad. Ya know what they say about oysters. Oh and you get a bottle of sparkling wine too. From $99 per couple – book here.
Get high at SkyPoint’s Dinner in the Star hosted on their newly refurbished observation deck. You’ll get a two-course dinner, live music by local musician Nicky Convine and spectacular 360-degree views of the Gold Coast. How’s the romance. Tickets include entry to SkyPoint, canapés on arrival, choice of four main meals, desert tasting plate and a three-hour beverage package. From $120 per person with upgrade option.
Sage Café Restaurant
It’s a three course à la carte offering in the heart of Broadbeach featuring all your favourite seafood and some sweet live entertainment. Early booking will receive a complimentary bubbles on arrival and dinner will be a mixture of oysters, salads, seafood and decadent desserts. Price dependent on whatever tickles your tastebuds on the night.
As always, there’s plenty of places for some lovin’ at The Star.
If your Valentine is a food and wine lover, Little Truffle is the place to be. Think sophisticated surrounds and a four-course menu featuring dishes such as cauliflower, parsnip and truffle veloutes; Moreton bay bug and prawn tortellini; Braised beef cheek with pan fried gnocchi, sweet potato puree and truffle jus AND a selection of Little Truffle signature desserts to share. Roll us outta there. $99 per person.
The Cambus Wallace
The boys at Cambus have put together something special for the big day including a meaty Valentine’s dinner option and a vegan one for our plant loving pals. There’s a range of tasty dishes on offer including sirlion steak, truffle gherkins, golden shallots and red wine jus and braised eggplant with silken tofu, miso broth and crispy ginger. After eats, there’ll be rum and Pana chocolate tasting plates on offer for $30 per person with choocie flavours TBC (but honestly, who cares because chocolate). $60 for two people (not including tasting plates) with a glass of champagne each to start.
Everyone’s favourite football club is putting on a do for Valentine’s Day and at just $50 for a two person dinner including a bottle of wine, it’s your most wallet friendly bet. In a central location and with plenty of good vibes, Burleigh Bears might just be the place to celebrate your love this Valentine’s Day.
Greenhouse Canteen & Bar
Go green this Valentine’s Day (or Galentine’s Day if that’s your 2018 jam) at Greenhouse Canteen in Miami and Coolangatta. It’s a three course set vegan menu including beer or wine and the loveliest of leafy settings. There are 6pm and 7.30pm seatings and guaranteed good times. $120 for two people.
The Scottish Prince
The Palmy lads are offering up a feast of epic proportions including delightful dishes such as honey-glazed pumpkin tartine, caramelized onion, Milawa blue cheese and fresh rocket and Lamb Cutlets with whiskey and maple syrup served with pea-basil mash (to be honest, we’ll probably just go alone for those). After dinner get involved in a whiskey and Pana chocolate tasting plate ($30 per person). Dinner is a steal for $60 for two people.
Enjoy a five course sumptuous meal showcasing cuisines from each of The Collective’s five kitchens. A bottle of French bubbly awaits each couple along with a beautiful rose for the valentine.Featuring a live music performance from acoustic singer Mitch Lancaster throughout dinner. After dinner treat – for the first time The Collective will be hosting Palm Beach’s own cinema under the stars. Cosy up to your loved one on our comfy lounge seating for a romantic blockbuster up on the big screen.
