Weekends just got good again.
Weekends just got good again.
Seems like we’re getting back into the swing of the Gold Coast life we know and love of late with more events on the radar and the very best things, like BOOZY BRUNCHES, starting up again.
One of our absolute favourite things to do on a sunny Saturday is get frocked up in our finest, gather the gals and head to a beautiful beachfront location for a few sips and some tasty eats.
Which, as you may have guessed is exactly what you can do at Burleigh’s The Tropic as of right now. The team have brought back their beloved bottomless, boozy brunch and we suggest you book yourselves in right this instant for guaranteed good times.
So what’s on the menu? Well many good things as you’d expect from The Tropic, part of the oceanfront venue that is Burleigh Pavilion and one of our absolute fave spots in the world.
From just $55 per person you get Freshly Shucked Oysters, Goats Curd and Olives, Taramasalata, a Prawn Cocktail, Smoked Trout Crackers, Mortadella and Cheese Brioche and a Chocolate Donut. HOW GOOD.
Of course, you also get bottomless bubbles and perfect, uninterrupted ocean views and there are always live DJs on the decks to keep you entertained.
If you’re feeling fancy, you can upgrade your tipples to Chandon NV or Veuve Clicquot NV.
If you’ve not yet had the pleasure of visiting The Tropic, you can expect a relaxed, beautifully put together space, decked out in pastel shades and boasting one of the absolute best views you’ll find anywhere.
Bottomless Brunch kicks off Saturday August 29th, get in quick to book your table.
LOCATION: Goodwin Tce, Burleigh Heads
WHEN: From 11am every Saturday
If you’ve wandered down Burleigh way of late, you’ve no doubt noticed a new addition to Goodwin Terrace, right outside Burleigh Pavilion to be exact.
If not, allow us to enlighten you. It’s a vintage caravan but not just any vintage caravan, the new addition has been decked out in the Pavs’ distinctive pastel colour scheme and filled with an array of tasty eats you’re absolutely going to want to devour.
Said tasty eats come in the form of freshly baked white and seeded sourdough loaves, croissants (including chocolate), doughnuts, banana bread and sausage rolls. All of which are baked daily at Burleigh Pavillion by Head Chef Guillermo Zika (yes, he’s French) and his team. We tried them all just to be sure and all are absolute taste sensations.
Not only those though, there are also Bacon and Egg rolls, Avo and Haloumi Rolls, Ham and Cheese toasties and toasted foccacias in various flavours.
It wouldn’t be Burleigh if you couldn’t get smoothie bowls so there are those too. In Açai, Cocoa and Peanut flavours.
If you’re just after a cold drink after a stroll down the Esplanade you can choose from fresh, delicious juices and smoothies
Every single thing can of course be enjoyed a few steps away overlooking the ocean or if you bought a bit too much for one sitting (same), take it home to enjoy later.
If you’re after a cuppa to go with your three croissants, Nook Espresso is right there serving up the goods.
In case you’re wondering, Burleigh Pavilion is open for 20 people for the time being and The Van will be a permanent fixture going forward
Which is perfect, because obviously the more baked treats in our lives the better.
Head down and scoff some for yourself.

Hands down, our favourite meal is brunch. It brings together the best of breakfast and lunch and srsly who doesn’t love a two-for-one. In particular, a brunch affair with the word ‘bottomless’ at the start gets us all kinds of woo-girly, and that’s before we’ve even had a drop of booze.
We’re so passionate about this mid-morning (usually) weekend ritual that we felt compelled to pen a list of GC places serving up bottomless brunch bonanzas.
From north to south, gather your mates, don your stretchy pants and jump on the brunch bandwagon!
The Langham Gold Coast
