Cinco de Mayo

Mexico cinco de mayo wood background mexican sombrero

Let’s taco about Cinco de Mayo—or the fifth of May— a holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). While Mexicans don’t really celebrate it, it’s still a big deal in the States. And because Australia has adopted the Central-American cuisine with welcome arms, it’s time to celebrate everything Mexican this Friday, arrrriba!

Dust off your sombreros and head to NightQuarter for a night full of fun. Eat all the Mexican food or listen to latino tunes. Kallidad combines flamenco, rock and mariachi music into an intoxicating instrumental mix. Together with the band’s infamous ‘Day of the Dead’ facepaint, the result is a live spectacle. Salud!
