Just mention the word Mexican and we are there for it. Mexican food, Mexican beer, Mexican tequila, give us everything RIGHT NOW (please).
Which is why it’s exciting that Cinco de Mayo came around again and we got to spend the whole day fiesta-ing. Did you forget? No worries, no excuse necessary to order Mexican.
Here are a few Mexi-spots where you can get some takeaway food (and margies). How fun.
It’s a Mexi-fiesta at Montezuma’s at the Labrador, Surfers Paradise, Worongary and Burleigh Heads venues with all their usual delicious eats up for grabs to takeaway. Fill up your tummy with all of the nachos, chimchangas and (our fave) Queso and wash it down with some takeaway Sangria and that’s one night you won’t soon forget. Feast time!

La Diosa Mexicana
This sweet Surfers gem is serving their menu to takeaway and that’s a good enough reason as any to grab some grub. There’s $3 Taco Tuesday so you can load up on that good time or grab some quesadillas, churros and burritos for a little taste of everything. Find them in the heart of Surfers Paradise.

Guzman y Gomez
Your favourite Mexican mates are slinging the goods all day everyday at their various Gold Coast locations. There’s affordable burritos and bowls all day, at every store and if that’s not a reason to celebrate, we will eat our sombreros.

Mermaid’s beloved Mexi-eatery is of course, all over the takeaway action including very good nachos, tacos and all of the things really. They’re also doing a DIY margie kits for just $14 and all you have to do is shake, pour and enjoy. GREAT. We’ll take seven.

The Nobby’s beach favourite are all about fresh, Cali-style Mexi eats so you know whatever you order, it will be top notch. From burritos to tacos and bowls, they’ve got you covered. The best part? You can order takeaway margarita packs that come with everything you need to get the party happening. Sorted.

The newest of the bunch is Burleigh Heads’ Margarita Cartel and have they got some good takeaway options happening at the moment. How does a Cartel Value Pack sound? We know, divine. Get one for either two or four people and add an $8 margarita or three. Epic eats by the way.
Where: Shop 2, 1840 Gold Coast Hwy, Burleigh Heads
The Burleigh faves are serving up their exceptional goodness and they’re delivering too! They’ve got every single delicious menu item you could possibly want, they’re all some of the yummiest around. Wash it all down with a takeaway beer, wine or margarita and throw a blanket out on Burleigh Hill and you’re golden. Good times.

They’ve been on the Palm Beach block for a little while now and they’ve made quite the mark on all of us ever since. Quite obviously, they’re serving up all their usual goods for takeaway. You can also get takeaway beers and they’re delivering for a little fee. Perfect for the good people of Palmy. And everywhere really.

Your favourite Cooly Mexi-joint is getting in on the action too with their usual array of exceptional burritos PLUS takeaway frozen margaritas, the OG margaritas and homemade sangria. Grab all of that and set yourself up with a picnic across the road, overlooking the ocean and thank us later.

It’s always a good time at The Aztec in Coolangatta, especially when they deliver the Mexi-goodness right to your door (available for selected suburbs). Head to this southern favourite for guaranteed good times and a tasty taco or two. They certainly know what’s up when it comes to flavour-filled eats.
