Shorts for Jed is a charity film festival being held on the 5th June to raise much-needed funds for Queensland Film Industry identity Jed Cahill.
Jed, 42, has been given just 12 months to live after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. The festival hopes to raise funds for Jed to receive treatment in Europe which promises to lengthen his life significantly.
Shorts for Jed will feature 16 hand-picked short films, which are all 5 to ten minutes in length, and range from a mix of comedy, drama, documentary, action and slightly surreal, the night will appeal to all who love film.
Shorts for Jed will also feature the opportunity to bid for rare auction items supplied by film and entertainment heavyweights.
