Tickets are now on sale for THE BOTANICAL BAZAAR – the Gold Coast’s Garden & Sustainability Festival held at Country Paradise Parklands by The Rotary Club of Gold Coast.
The event which is now in its 9th year is held on the first weekend of August, with dates for this year’s event being Sat 3rd and Sunday 4th August.
From 9am – 4pm on Saturday and 9am – 3pm on Sunday, visitors will be able to indulge in all things gardening with over 100 green inspired exhibitors, industry experts, garden walks + talks, workshops + demonstrations, botanical art, community groups and plants galore. There’ll also be food trucks and live music and entertainment for the whole family.
The theme for this year is the DRAGONFLY and to support the festival local artists have painted and submitted over 70 pieces of dragonfly art. During the coming months these will be displayed in over 20 sponsor businesses in Broadbeach to promote the festival and locals and visitors to Broadbeach will be encouraged to choose their favourite to go in the draw to win over $2000 of prizes.
Speakers confirmed for this year’s event include Gardening Australia’s Sophie Thompson; Phil Dudman the horticultural editor of ABC Gardening Magazine and ABC Radio talk back host; ABC Brisbane Radio presenter and Horticulturist Claire Bickle; World renowned Permaculture Queen and global permaculture ambassador Morag Gamble; Peter Gash, MD and Custodian Lady Elliot Island and Botanical Bazaar’s foraging expert John Palmer OAM.
Tickets are now on sale and this year there’s a $20 weekend pass so avid gardeners have the opportunity to attend as many workshops and demonstrations as they like over both days.
