Fill your empty esky in the Scenic Rim

On Sunday 6 March we’re inviting you to come and experience country life in the Scenic Rim.We want you to learn where your food comes from, meet the farmers, shop local and fill your empty esky with our delicious local produce. You can download your own map below, or scroll down to plan your road trip! Don’t forget, our map covers a range of areas in the Scenic Rim, with some stops over an hour apart, so we suggest you plan ahead and visit 3 – 5 stops! We’ve also created some special itineraries here to help you plan your day!

1. Summer Land Camels

Don’t miss your chance to meet the camels! Summer Land Camels will be open for farm tours, camel feeding, camel rides, and award-winning fresh camel dairy products. Bookings for rides and tours are strongly suggested and sorry no dogs are allowed at this stop.

4. Scenic Rim Farm Shop(dog friendly)

Shop for a range of locally grown produce at the home of the Scenic Rim Farm Box and meet the farmers and the team from Scenic Rim Farm Shop. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings, café, flower farm, and baby chickens for the kids to hold while you’re there.

5. Olive View Estate Scenic Rim (dog friendly)

Take a look around a working olive farm where you’ll see over 700 olive trees and be able to purchase olives, olive oil, and dehydrated cocktail citrus straight from the farm! While you visit, indulge in an old-fashioned soda and apple crumble with ice cream.

6. Scenic Rim Brewery

Check out the shelves full of local craft beer, local produce, and Dutch delicacies. Market stalls will be at the brewery, and live music from a German Duet. Bookings are essential.

7. Running Creek Beef

It’s weaning time on the farm and the perfect opportunity to hand-feed our youngsters. Feed will be available for a small fee. Running Creek Cottage, the original 100+year old farmhouse, will be open for display, perfect if you are looking for your next holiday spot. Whilst there you can also wander down to our beautiful creek. NB: Farm Waivers must be completed to participate in the cattle feeding and Running Creek Cottage Open House. Its first in Best Beefed! Our grass-fed beef is cryovacked and ready for purchase at the Tractor Shed Porch and Farm Pantry. Come early to avoid missing out on your favorite cut. Farmer Rod’s and friends Restored Cars and Hot Rod’s will be on display, and as usual, there will be lots of delicious food including Running Creek Beef Hot Pies, Pasties & Sausage Rolls plus various stalls including Arthur Clive’s Bakery’s Hot Cross Buns and Baked Goods. Please remember no pets permitted on the farm and covered in shoes are required. We highly recommend long pants for walking comfortably through the long grass.

8. Oaky Creek Farm and Harvest Cafe

Oaky Creek Farm & Harvest Cafe is a family-owned farm producing a variety of seasonal produce including garlic, turmeric, citrus, and flavored salts/rubs, all of which will be available at the farm. Take in the stunning views of Innisplain while enjoying a coffee or cold drink, real fruit ice cream, or a piece of cake/slice.  Meet the farmers for a free farm walking tour at 10 am and 2 pm. The Farm and Café are dog-friendly.

9. The Overflow Estate 1895

Stop in at The Overflow Estate 1895 to try local Scenic Rim wine, stock up on some fine drops to take home, and of course enjoy the view while you’re there!

10. Towri Sheep Cheeses

You’ll be able to enjoy takeaway cheese platters that can be enjoyed in the garden, scrumptious takeaway lunch options, full access to the Towri Shop, a range of products from Flutterby Gourmet & Jasmine Urban Farm, and of course a coffee van. They can’t wait to see ewe!

13. Tommerup’s Dairy Farm

Meet 6th generation dairy farmers, the Tommerup family. Shop at their farm larder where you’ll find award-winning artisan dairy products, rose veal, milk-fed pork, free range eggs, and their famous Jersey Girl ice creams. Meet and feed the farm animals, take a tour with the farmers, walk down the river, and enjoy a picnic in the paddock. Live music all day, local produce stalls, food, and drinks available.

14. Ladybrook Farm (dog friendly)

Fill your Empty Esky with beef and lamb direct from the farm! You’ll be able to see the beautiful property owned and run by sixth-generation beef producers, as well as meet the animals up close.

15. Sarabah Estate Vineyard (dog friendly)

Drive through the iconic hedged entrance of Sarabah Estate Vineyard and stay for lunch. Wander the vineyards and grab a bottle of wine to take home.

16. O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard

Bring a picnic blanket and stay to try O’Reilly’s wine and enjoy a picnic on the creek with a $10 tasting paddle (Usually $20).

17. Mountview Alpacas

There will be several varieties of freshly picked finger limes available, along with their popular marmalades and preserves. You will be able to purchase skincare products including hydrating face serum, skin cream, and soap all made using organic fruit grown on the farm. Come learn not only how finger limes are grown, but also how beneficial they are nutritionally and for your skin.
