Father’s Day is upon us! Like, this Sunday (Sunday 4th September), and if you’re that kid who’s left booking a celebratory meal to the last minute, crisis averted – The Star will swoop in and save the (Father’s) day! Footy Fever
Paging all footy heads! Whatever your code, The Star is where it’s at this September for your finals action, complete with mega screens, thrilling entertainment, prize giveaways, meal specials and atmosphere a-plenty!
Now Sports Bar booth bookings have sold out already for both the AFL final (Saturday 24th September) and NRL final (Sunday 1st October….and yes this is technically one day into the following month, but what’s 24 hours between friends). But fear not, because there are still tables available on a walk-in basis.
Or you can still view the games from your very own picnic table on The Lawn at Garden & Kitchen Bar and yes, this totes sounds likes us. A $200 pre-payment is required for a picnic table, and then returned to you in the form of a $200 food and bev voucher. Translation – your prime position is free! Limited tables also available for walk-ins at both finals.
Prosecco Long Lunch
We know. It’s the stuff dreams are made of. The ever-popular monthly Prosecco Long Lunch series at Cucina Vivo continues in September, this time falling on Saturday 10th. This extremely limited event (which is almost sold out!) is an Italian lover’s fantasy land. We’re talking 2.5 hours of degustation share-sies style nosh so authentic, that you’ll think you’re in the back streets of Italy (only trade out the vespas for a view overlooking the pristine pool at The Star!). You’ll also be privy to Squealing Pig’s flagship crisp and zesty prosecco for the duration of the lunch, and seriously, are we actually dreaming *pinches oneself*?! Just add live entertainment (tick) and you’ve got yourself the perfect spring afternoon.

Fire Pits on the Lawn
If you haven’t experienced an exclusive fire pit on The Lawn at Garden Kitchen & Bar, this is your LAST CHANCE (shouty capitals justified). Imagine you and your posse enjoying a toasty crackling fire, live entertainment, cheeseboards, mouth-watering bites from the Container Kitchen and delectable beverages. Yes please!
Available Fridays from 5pm or 7pm, Saturdays from 4pm, 6pm or 8pm, and Sundays from 3pm or 5pm until 30 September, don’t fuff around or you’ll miss out and trust us, fire pit FOMO is a thing. $195 with a $100 food and beverage credit returned to sort out hungry tummies and quench that ever-present thirst.

Nineteen at The Star
Dads and food. They’re like peas and carrots. Very gourmet ones in fact if we’re talking about Nineteen at The Star. With award-winning food, unfaultable service and breathtaking ocean views, delivering a five-star, super indulgent experience is Nineteen’s kryptonite. Dad can choose from the sumptuous a la carte menu, or opt for an exclusive Father’s Day offer as detailed by your VI(W)P (Very Impressive WaitPerson). Father’s Day lunch will take place between 12pm and 3pm and bookings are essential.
Garden Kitchen & Bar
The always bustling Garden Kitchen & Bar is eternally popular with everyone, including our beloved dads. Serving up a delectable seasonal menu by day and night on Father’s Day, the vibrant atmosphere makes Garden Kitchen & Bar the perfect spot for either a small or large fam rendezvous. He’ll be spoilt for choice with the à la carte menu, plus all dads who purchase the limited-edition member’s only Surf & Turf Stockyard Striploin and confit cuttlefish will receive a complimentary schooner of Stone & Wood. Enjoy a four-course lunch and beverage package, Fashions on the Rooftop, live racing screens, a special MC, and entertainment to (riding) boot. Tickets are $375 per person.
Or, Nineteen at The Star Rooftop Bar is putting on a four-hour bev package and glass of Veuve Clicquot on arrival, with three hours of premium canapes, Fashions on the Rooftop, guest MC, live entertainment, and to feel all the fancy-as feels, you can upgrade to Veuve Clicquot for the entire event #NoBrainer. Tickets are $185 per person, or $236 per person for the upgrade.
Cucino Vivo
‘Flemington’ is Italian for fun and no, it’s really not but #samsies. Head to Cucino Vivo for a glamorous Melbourne Cup lunch with an Italian flare of flavours, faarshion and fun. Enjoy an exquisite four-course set menu lunch accompanied by a three-hour drinks package, live entertainment, Fashions off the Field and a guest MC. Tickets are $205 per person.
Garden Kitchen & Bar
The Garden Kitchen & Bar event is already sold out, but for those who prefer a bit of greenery with their galloping, head for The Lawn. We’re talking picnic-style or high-top seating, two decadent platters, a three-hour beverage package, live entertainment, Fashions off the Field, a live mega screen, and brace yourselves – a live Yolanda Be Cool DJ set! Tickets from $640 per high table (for 4 people).
Harvest Buffet
Large groups, listen up! Harvest Buffet is THE go-to for party seekers looking to soak up the pristine pool vibes and a three-hour premium seafood buffet, including two chocolate fountains. Sunday Roast
