New Year’s Eve in Surfers Paradise

Ring in 2022 with two spectacular fireworks displays at the Esplanade in Surfers Paradise! The first fireworks display will take place at 8pm, with a second one at midnight.

Arrive early to enjoy a meal in one of the many Surfers Paradise restaurants.

Catch the G:Link to Surfers Paradise Station to avoid any potential congestion on the evening. Please see TransLink and Surfside websites for more information on public transport timetables.

ROAD CLOSURES
Please note The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise, between the Soul building roundabout and Hanlan Street roundabout will be closed on Friday 31 December from 6pm to Saturday 1 January 2022, 4am, for the purpose of the Surfers Paradise New Year’s Eve Fireworks.

Detours will be in place along Esplanade road via Staghorn Avenue and Clifford Street. Please follow signage and traffic controller’s direction on the evening.
