Bringing together Australia’s best homegrown indie rock acts, BEST NIGHT EVER 2022 will see eight acts perform across two stages with no set clashes.
Surf rock band Hockey Dad and alternative indie singer-songwriter Ruby Fields will take to stage to headline the show.
Other rockers on the line-up include Pacific Avenue (NSW), Polish Club (Sydney), Rum Jungle (Newcastle), The Buoys (Sydney), The Moving Stills (NSW) and West Thebarton (Adelaide).
Hockey Dad will be relishing their return to the Australian stages after a recent USA summer run with Third Eye Blind and Taking Back Sunday, performing their collection of hits as well as the crowd pleasers from their recent ARIA Top 5 album, ‘Brain Candy’
Ruby Fields has had a highly decorated ascent since her track “Dinosaurs” came in at #9 on the world’s biggest public voted music poll. Nearly 4 years after earning her well-deserved place in the triple j Hottest 100 in 2018, her fanbase has only continued to grow and Ruby’s full-length debut ‘Been Doin’ It For A Bit, landed her a #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart!
Sydney’s favourite definitely-still-a-rock-band rock band, Polish Club are heading back to the Gold Coast and will be serving up choice cuts from their latest LP Now We’re Cookin’.
Touring with the likes of Lime Cordiale, Peking Duk, Hilltop Hoods and British India – the Newcastle raised four-piece, Rum Jungle will be bringing all the reggae-rock vibes that are the perfect soundtrack for cruisy weekend afternoons and lazy holidays.
Powered by hard-charging rhythms, fuzzed-out guitars and a dose of defiant attitude, The Buoys (Sydney) take the spirit of their forebears – from ’80s punk to ’90s riot-grrrl – and infuse them with millennial anxiety, railing against the expectations of a flawed society.
Pop/alternative band The Moving Stills (NSW) will be showcasing their 80’s New York, garage and surf rock inspired soothing tunes.
Armed with an artillery of four guitarists, West Thebarton (Adelaide) will be bringing the controlled chaos playing homage to the sweaty legacy of classic Australian pub rock.
Eight acts. Two stages. One epic day.
