When it comes to watching sports with your buddies armed with a few drinks in hand and accompanied with good food, you’re certainly in the sweet spot. It’s as good as it gets — all you then need to hope for is that whatever sport you’re watching, the odds are in your favour!
Sometimes when it comes to organising these events, it’s hard to find the right space. You might want something intimate but not round at somebody’s home or something lively but not jampacked with other punters — it can be a little perplexing. But hold this thought. One of the Coast’s best-loved RSLs has only gone and made itself a one-off sports viewing space that will rival anything else you’ve ever seen before! (Man Cave who?)
The Sporting Den is a tucked away sports bar with a difference. Found upstairs at Currumbin RSL and wholly designed around a 1920s speakeasy style lounge/bar, this is the premium sports watching experience you and your other diehard fans have been waiting for. Really, whatever the occasion, be it a catch up with friends to watch whatever sport is on for the week, or even for other celebrations like cocktail parties, hens/bucks, Christmas parties or corporate events you can book the space out.
With hiring the space for sporting events, you will be well looked after with two large beer towers, filled with a golden liquid of your choice, and four large pizzas — again, with toppings of your choice. Does it get any better? Beer + Pizza = match made in heaven.
The space caters for up to eight people in total but can extend to fit 20. And you get all of this for a very reasonable $200, meaning it won’t break the bank between you and your mates! And whilst the beer and pizza are standard inclusions, you do have the option to order more food and drinks on top of these to ensure you and your mates are well looked after! So, no fighting over that last slice of pizza.
Entry is allowed up to thirty minutes before kick-off/tip-off/first whistle/first-bounce/start (you name it) and wrapping up once all of the action has come to a climatic end. And should you feel inclined, you then have the option to stick around in the main sports bar of the club downstairs and celebrate your win — or mull over any post-game analytics with a couple more drinks.
We can’t think of a better private venue for you and your mates to come together over some quality food.
