If you love feasting by the water with a frosty beverage in hand, read on, we’ve got good news.
Alleys Restaurant and Bar, found creekside in Currumbin (at Currumbin RSL to be precise), has just this week launched their brand new summer menu and, if the last one was anything to go by, we’re in for a treat.
Not to mention the fact that said creekside restaurant offers one of the most chill, balmy-summer-arvo-with-beverage-in-hand vibes around.
If you’ve ventured down that way, you’ll know Currumbin RSL is not your ordinary RSL-style situation, but it is a delightful place to spend some time eating, drinking and generally being stoked to live in this beautiful part of the world.
Back to the menu though and what a fresh, vibrant treat it is. Including, of course, plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dishes thrown into the regular faves mix.
Here’s what you should get on your plate ASAP.
Hand crafted Chicken Spring Rolls, yes please. Steamed Dim Sims, Roasted Corn Arancini Balls, give them all to us.
Mains-wise, the Tempura Pork Belly is set to be a stunner with a combination of Asian-style wild rice, cucumber, avocado, carrot, radish, green papaya, coriander, ponzu mayo and wakame.
The Smokey BBQ Pork Loin with chargrilled sweetcorn, tomatillo salsa and chipotle slaw is also a clear winner.
Not to mention (but obviously we’re mentioning) the Spanish Wagyu Meatballs and Buttermilk Fried Chicken Tenders. Two of our absolute favourite things in the world.
You must also sample dessert because it comes in the form of Banoffee Mess, Luscious Sambucca and Liquorice ice cream and Orange and Grand Marnier Panna Cotta to name a few standouts. Yep, those are real things you can eat.
