Spin out on the all new Vortex

Sea World's newest attraction is now open.

Well hasn’t this year been an absolute whirlwind? Like how is it Christmas already?

But it is summer again, and we like that very much.

What we also like are new rides, especially of the multi-million dollar theme park variety.

So today we are excited to announce the opening of the Gold Coast’s newest attraction Vortex.

New rides don’t come along all too often, so we are stoked when there’s something new on the Gold Coast and given we can’t go anywhere else, this makes us doubly excited.

You can find the thrilling new ride at Sea World in Main Beach and we’ll race you there.

Guests will be taken on a twisting, turning and spinning adventure reaching speeds of 30km/h and experience up to 5 G-Forces on the 18m high pendulum swinging attraction.

If this year hasn’t been turbulent enough, this is the ride for you!

Vortex is just the first ride of three of The New Atlantis precinct at Sea World, with the other two Utopian themed rides due to open in mid-2021.

What are the other two rides you ask?

Well, if you’ve driven past recently, you will have noticed the huge wooden rollercoaster currently being constructed named Leviathan (a multi-headed sea serpent) and soon to follow is Trident (how’s your Greek mythology?), a 42 metre high swinging attraction which we’ll definitely be leaving to someone else to tell us about.

As a local, the best way to experience Vortex over and over again is with a Village Roadshow One Pass which provides unlimited access to Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast and Paradise Country for 12 months.

So what are you waiting for? It’s the summer holidays, go and give the Vortex a whirl!
