Alright parents, carers, and any other unofficial snack preparers among us. If there’s one thing we can agree on, it’s that the never-ending list of things to do for these tiny humans is in no way proportional to their smaller statures. And we’ve a way to a) tick some things off said list, and b) give you that sweet, sweet sense of accomplishment, and a big ol’ dose of the feel goods while you’re at it #talkaboutefficient.
With the legends over at The Strand at Coolangatta officially launching their “Shop for your Schools” campaign, your shopping dollar-bucks can earn your chosen school the chance to win big. Like, big big – we’re talking $6,500 in cash, plus prizes up for grabs here folks.
Brush off that shopping list, because it’s time to get tactical with your errands. For the entire month of August, every time you shop at any store in centre, you’ll not only be supporting local businesses, but you’ll also be earning points to nominate towards your favourite school.
Thanks to The Strand at Coolangatta’s wholesome initiative, all those adult-y things we normally have to do anyway just got a whole lot more rewarding. Y’know, groceries, book week costume (heads up parents, that’s this month too #yourewelcome), pick up a new pair of school shoes (it’s always the shoes) – even the fun stuff, if something cute just happens to fall into your basket – by shopping at The Strand in August your dollars get the chance to give back as well! So, you can feel good about splurging on that cute top after all.
The participating schools get a chance at the prize pool including a 1st Prize of $4,000, $1,750 for 2nd Prize and $750 for 3rd, but it’s not all new books and soccer balls. While the schools have the chance to take out the big bucks, there’s also an exciting weekly opportunity for one lucky individual to win $100 Strand Vouchers each week for 4 weeks!
What’s the catch, we hear you ask? Well, it gets even better because there really isn’t one. Shop at any store in centre, with no minimum spend or purchase power. Points will be allocated based on expenditure and will be assigned to each school on a per capita basis.
The more you shop, the more points your chosen school will receive, increasing their chances of winning a significant share of the prize pool. A shopping spree we can feel good about?! Count us in.
What’s not to love about a guilt-free excuse to spend up, while also showing our support for education in our community. Together with The Strand at Coolangatta, let’s make a difference in the lives of our students and educators this August.
