Spring High Tea Series by JW Marriott Gold Coast – Fruits of the Garden

The series will commence on Saturday, August 12th with a Spring fruit inspired menu, followed by florals and herbs in September and October.

Celebrating the best of Spring produce, Kuruvita has come together with JW Marriott Gold Coast’s Executive Chef, Paul Smart to pay homage to the JW Garden’s home grown array of fresh herbs, fruits and edible flowers with flavours inspired by Kuruvita’s Sri Lankan heritage.

High tea guests will be welcomed into the resort’s tropical oasis, treated to three courses of delicious sweet and savoury canapés served on a traditional high tea stand, all crafted around a JW garden inspired element – Fruit, Flowers and Herbs.

Staying true to JW Marriott Gold Coast’s philosophy of food designed to nourish the soul, mindfully curated cuisine made from local and seasonal produce and sustainably sourced ingredients, the Spring High Tea series will hero the best produce of the season, combined with the innovation and creativity of two chefs, both masters of their craft.

We have thoughtfully dreamt up how to celebrate the quality ingredients the Gold Coast is known for, while incorporating produce from our on property JW Garden.

From the beautiful French champagne on arrival, to Peter’s world-class menu, and the delicious assortment of quality Dilmah teas, each moment has been thought out with intention and care to ensure our guests leave with a delightful spring in their step!”

High Tea by JW – “Fruits of the Garden”
Saturday 12 August, 12pm – 2pm
Inspired by the on-property JW Garden, indulge in an exquisite High Tea crafted and presented by Peter Kuruvita and Executive Chef Paul Smart. A series of high tea dishes paying homage to the JW Garden’s home grown array of herbs, fruits and edible flowers, paired with an assortment of unique Dilmah teas.
We welcome our guests to relax in the resorts tropical oasis and indulge in a unique culinary journey of chargrilled pepper chicken en croute, grilled sea scallop, roast Sunshine Coast pineapple in addition to JW Marriott’s traditional high tea.
Including a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne.

High Tea by JW – “Springtime Florals”
Saturday 9 September, 12pm – 2pm
Inspired by the on-property JW Garden, indulge in an exquisite High Tea crafted and presented by Peter Kuruvita and Executive Chef Paul Smart.
A series of high tea dishes paying homage to the JW Garden’s home grown array of herbs, fruits and edible flowers, paired with an assortment of unique Dilmah teas.
We welcome our guests to relax in the resorts tropical oasis and indulge in a unique culinary journey of reggiano panna cotta with Avruga caviar, torched caramelized figs and pineapple sage flowers in addition to JW Marriott’s traditional high tea.
Including a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne.

High Tea by JW – “Herbal Discovery”
Saturday 14 October, 12pm – 2pm
Inspired by the on-property JW Garden, indulge in an exquisite High Tea crafted and presented by Peter Kuruvita and Executive Chef Paul Smart.
A series of high tea dishes paying homage to the JW Garden’s home grown array of herbs, fruits and edible flowers, paired with an assortment of unique Dilmah teas.
We welcome our guests to relax in the resort’s tropical oasis and indulge in a unique culinary journey of king prawns with a Jasmine green tea dressing, JW Garden herb crusted yellow fin tuna with twice cooked pork belly, pine nut and rosemary tart in addition to JW Marriott’s traditional high tea.
Including a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne.
