Imagine a world without all of the delicious olive oil, tantalising pizza and mouth-watering pasta that Italy has gifted us – it just doesn’t bear thinking about!

Well, if you have been dreaming of jumping on a red Vespa and scootering along the Amalfi Coast, two new delightful Italian menus featured at Cucina Vivo at The Star Gold Coast will have you living la dolce vita from now until the 30th of April.

The chef’s favourites set menu or the more extravagant degustazione are both set to deliver authentic flavours whilst you sit back and soak up some of that refreshing Mediterranean charm — of course, with optional glasses of perfectly paired wines in hand!

The Favourites Set Menu comprises of four courses that will be more than enough to satiate the most discerning palate. With antipasto to start followed by your choice of crispy Calamari Fritti or lush Bruschetta you’ll be sure to start the evening on the right note. For main’s, you have the hard decision between Scaloppine Di Vitello with Northern Rivers veal, creamy marsala, forest mushrooms, silverbeet, broccolini or Maltagliati pasta with Australian Bay Bug, bisque, Avruga caviar, heirloom tomato. Dessert is a Sapori D’Italia mixed platter to share — that’s if you’ve left enough room!

Now should you feel inclined — and we know this will be most of you — there’s the ultimate sojourn into Italian deliciousness with the seven-course degustation menu. You’ll be in foodie heaven! The highlights in this menu are without a doubt the Manzo — 300g of beautiful Stanbroke scotch fillet, confit potato and salsa verde. And to finish off? Only everyone’s favourite — Tiramisu. Made the traditional way with house-made savoiardi, mascarpone diplomat creme, Montenegro liqueur, orange and coffee. If this doesn’t get your taste buds tingling, frankly we don’t know what will.

These two impressive menus are all part of the 40 Days of Flavour – a festival of flavours for all your senses at The Star Gold Coast. There’s so much to taste, see, hear and feel. Seems Cucina Vivo is pulling out the goods this April, so we highly recommend you make a reservation asap and don’t miss out — because how often do you get to treat your tastebuds to this sort of deliciousness?

And if that wasn’t enough then for those with a sweet tooth (everyone, right?) there will be a selection of Italian-inspired sweets including everyone’s favourite tiramisu — just to ensure your artistic juices are fully flowing! Book your spot here.
