Groundwater Country Music Festival Returns to the Gold Coast This October with a Blockbuster Lineup
Saddle up for another unforgettable celebration of country music as the award-winning Groundwater Country Music Festival returns to the Gold Coast from 17–19 October 2025. Now in its twelfth year, this much-loved free festival is set to deliver a stellar lineup of international icons, Aussie favourites and rising stars – all just steps from one of Australia’s most iconic beaches.
Headlining the first lineup reveal is none other than celebrated Australian icon Troy Cassar-Daley, fresh off a record-breaking five Golden Guitars at this year’s CMAA Awards. Joining him is US chart-topper Jackson Dean, returning to Groundwater after a powerful 2023 debut, along with beloved Australian artist Brad Cox, bringing his signature sound and high-energy performance to the beachside stage.
Also making waves on the lineup are American crowd favourites Shane Smith & The Saints in their highly anticipated Australian debut, as well as homegrown legends The Wolfe Brothers and rising stars Lane Pittman, Sara Berki, and 2025 Toyota Star Maker winner Felicity Kircher.
They’ll be joined by a host of fan favourites including Max Jackson, The Buckleys, Minor Gold, Tyla Rodrigues, Bo’Ness Brothers, Claudia Tripp, Round Mountain Girls, The High Street Drifters, and Hutch – plus the return of the ever-popular Beachside Line Dancing with Chris Watson.
From beachside parks to buzzing balcony verandahs, Groundwater offers a uniquely Gold Coast twist on the classic country music festival. The event transforms the streets of Broadbeach into a sea of Akubras, country tunes and community spirit – all for free.
Festival Director Mark Duckworth says the event continues to grow as a cornerstone of the city’s cultural calendar.
“We’re building something truly special here – a festival that blends the best of country music with one of the most iconic beachside destinations in Australia,” said Duckworth.
Groundwater CMF is produced by Experience Gold Coast and supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland.
With more artists still to be announced, Groundwater Country Music Festival 2025 promises three unforgettable days of live music, good vibes and true country spirit on the Gold Coast. Don’t miss it.
