Tweed Heads Bowls Club

The Tweed Heads Bowls Club was founded in 1921 by a group of dedicated people with a pioneering spirit who wanted to build a firm foundation for future progress.

The club started on the banks of the beautiful Tweed River, directly under Point Danger in a modest clubhouse. In 1975 a new clubhouse was built on land purchased by the clubs forefathers on Greenbank Island, not far from the original site.

Tweed Heads Bowls Club is centrally located, situated a few hundred metres from the New South Wales and Queensland border on the southern end of the Gold Coast, adjacent to the beautiful Tweed waterways, the Southern Cross University campus and the Tweed Hospital.

The Club features a world-renowned international indoor bowling facility and four world class outdoor greens. Other unique features of the club are its’ in-house butchery and bakery, a testament to its dedication and reputation as a great place to dine. The friendliness and commitment to customer service provided by their staff is second to none!

Visitors can choose from a range of fabulous food and dining experiences such as nineteen21, Bistro 16, The Cafe and The Pantry. Brand new restaurant ‘nineteen21’ specialises in locally produced and regionally sourced meat, poultry and produce. The talented catering team also boasts its’ own in-house butcher and bakery, ensuring that local “love” is added to every course.

Children are catered for in the Kidzone located in The Brasserie. Bingo, live entertainment, an award-winning TAB and daily raffles occupy the leisure hours of local residents and visitors alike.
