After years of trial and error, emulating flavours and tastes of smoked meats savoured on his many business trips to the US, owner Scott believed he had developed his unique Dark Dry Rub and Sauces to a stage where they would readily appeal to the discerning Australian palate.
Bringing a totally new dining experience to the beachfront at Coolangatta, Choofas has the capacity to seat up to sixty guests and offers great views up the Gold Coast coastline.
The BBQ smoked meats are rubbed with Choofas own dark dry rub, then cooked long and slow to ensure tenderness and flavour. Also on offer is fresh and cooked seafood options, endeavoring to provide a number of fresh seafood specials daily. Gluten free & vegetarian options are also available.
Choofas Horn Bar is fully stocked with over sixty top brand rums, bourbons and whiskeys along with traditional and craft beers, spirits and ciders. You can also enjoy a cold beer on tap or a cocktail while overlooking Coolangatta beach as the sun goes down.
