The Undercurrent drops a new range

Representing your beloved suburb of residence via artistically designed attire is almost guaranteed to encourage some good old fashioned rivalry among mates. When the time comes (and it will), you can thank local clothing brand The Undercurrent for inciting local riots.

Earlier this year the brand launched a range of tee shirts designed by local artists depicting Gold Coast suburbs.

In news that will delight diehard suburb defenders, the brand will next week launch a new range of shirts for the good people of Palm Beach, Miami, Broadbeach and Nobby Beach. The collection will also include a general Gold Coast tee shirt and trucker cap for those days when we all just need to get along.

Aimed at both locals and tourists, The Undercurrent was born from owner Carly Snodgrass’s desire to showcase the Coast in a way that adequately represents her beautiful hometown and the talented creatives residing within it.

Five new artists have been commissioned to design the range and their brief was simple – include elements that best represent both the history and current vibe of the suburb. The results are a real treat for your eyeballs and you can thank the following legends for their exceptional talent:

  • Nobby Beach by Laura Strange
  • Broadbeach by Hayley O’Connor
  • Miami by Sarah Huston
  • Palm Beach by Ashley Nixon
  • Gold Coast tee by Matt English
  • Gold Coast hat by Phil Ramskill

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen, your next round of GC apparel made boast-worthy by the good folks at The Undercurrent.

See ya on the streets of Palmy (if you dare).

Shirts will be available for online purchase on Monday November 20th.
