If you’re a fan of sky-high spirits and food that’s as elevated as the venue, then SkyPoint’s Ginspired 5-course dinner is your ticket to cloud nine. Set to take place on September 7th, this White Oat Distillery’s gin-soaked soirée is where your love for fine dining and your passion for premium gin can reach new heights – literally. At 230 metres above Surfers Paradise, SkyPoint is serving up a night so epic, it’s positively gin-ormous.

At a cool $148 per person, this elevated indulgence kicks off on level 77, where you’ll be greeted with a sunset cocktail that will make you feel on top of the world. As you sip your sky-high concoction, enjoy jaw-dropping 360-degree views of the Gold Coast that stretch all the way to the New South Wales border and out to the lush Gold Coast Hinterland.

But the real gin-spiration happens when you ascend to Level 78, where the private function space awaits with a 5-course degustation menu that pairs picture perfectly with White Oat Distillery’s gin-genius-ness. There’s a variety of mixers available for you to mix yourself for a truly personal experience because DIY never goes out of faaarshion. And let’s be honest, when you’re dining this high up, you’d expect nothing less than a meal that’s as lofty as the location.

First up, dive into Cured Ocean Trout with beetroot agrodolce and baby watercress, paired perfectly with White Oat Berry Gin. It’s like a match made in heaven, or at least on Level 78, and #samesies.

Next, set sail with the Oven Baked Market Fish, served alongside a lobster bisque and charred asparagus, paired with the classic White Oat London Dry Gin. This dish is swimming in flavour and with every bite, you’ll be hooked – hooked on how perfectly the London Dry Gin cuts through the richness of the bisque.

As you ascend through each course, the spirit-ual journey continues and the Mango, Chilli, and Soy Glazed Duck Maryland is no exception. Coming in hot with White Oat Mango and Chilli Gin, this dish will have you quacking for more because it’s ducking delicious.

But what’s a great meal without a sweet ending? Cue the Sticky Date Pudding with bourbon butterscotch sauce and cinnamon crumble, paired with White Oat Mango Gin. It’s sticky, sweet, and just the right amount of sinful – exactly how we want it.

There’s no denying we Gold Coasters are a lucky bunch. Every way we look, we’re met with stunning surrounds.  Now SkyPoint, our coveted vantage for soaking in the full 360 degrees of local splendour is flaunting a heightened new aesthetic that’s a visual delight. And a new menu that’s a next level treat for the taste buds too. Two words: Bug. Rolls.

It is now officially better than ever, upping the ante with a slick new rebrand, an enticing, revamped menu and a sleek, modern zhuzh up to take the ambience to a whole new level (if that is even possible, with a venue that stands a staggering 230m off the ground).

Add in that same magnificent bird’s eye view and Surfer’s new-old darling is a shore thing. If it’s been a while since you last ventured (77 floors) up, we’re talking unobstructed views stretching as far south as the border, north to Straddy, west to the rolling hills of the hinterland, and east Pacific Ocean as far as you can ‘sea’.

With the eyes taken care of, let’s talk about the tastebuds. To round out the sophisticated new experience, the modern menu has been designed to include some iconic Gold Coast dishes. Savour the likes of Moreton Bay Bug Rolls, crispy Moreton Bay bug, baby gem lettuce, sriracha aioli in a brioche bun or Baja Fish Tacos, saltwater barramundi, charred corn salsa, coriander crema in a corn tortilla.

Or stick to the crowd favourites. Our mouths are watering just thinking about the 77 Beef Burger, grilled beef patty, bacon, jack cheddar, onion rings, BBQ sauce, garlic aioli, leafy greens, tomato, pickles, brioche bun.

As the sun sets on the shimmering surf (figuratively, of course – wrong side of the ocean and all that), switch the Cappuccino for the Kahlua-laced classic, Espress YoSelf (with caramel, if you’re feeling extra, and when are we not?). Or, if you’re in the mood to borrow some holiday vibes, might we suggest the Ocean Mist… then again, a Coconut Margarita has never failed us yet.

SkyPoint offers an unforgettable day or evening among the clouds (or thereabouts). So, if you’re craving breathtaking sights and culinary delights, take it up several hundred notches and discover the new SkyPoint.
