Your November new venue roundup

Jamie Oliver's Pizzeria

Isn’t it fun to be outraged by how fast the months fly by. Especially now that it’s somehow December and we have to go Christmas present shopping while also continuing to work and attend 63 parties a week. It’s tough guys.

Not to mention the fact that Gold Coast restaurants are still opening up every three minutes and that is the actual point of this tale.

Without further adieu (read: rambling) here’s all the new openings we covered in November and brace yourselves, there won’t be any slowing down this month either.

Robina Pavilion
Robina Tav got quite the overhaul of late, to the tune of a sweet $4million no less. The popular local precinct now boasts a sweet new deck overlooking the lake, delicious wood-fired pizzas and a specialty kiddies section so the while fam can head along. Happy days Robina friends.

Bistro 19
Once known as Café 19, the Sanctuary Cove favourite received a fancy makeover recently, transforming into Bistro 19 complete with an expanded menu and entirely new fitout. A reinvigorated outdoor deck dining area is light and airy and is the perfect spot for a bit of sunshine, paired perfectly with a spot of brunch or an early morning cuppa. Time to head north.

Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria
The man himself gifted us with an exciting newbie last month and Pacific Fair were the ones lucky enough to score it. Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria opened with the expected fanfare launching a tasty menu packed with authentic pizzas (made with artisan dough no less) and pastas that you know are absolutely divine. Shopping and Italian food, what a treat.

Mr.
Simple by name, decadent by nature is the idea behind Nobby’s newbie Mr. With a sleek interior complete with gold accents and stunning floral features, the interior is somewhere you’ll absolutely want to be. It’s the work of the team behind Forreal Kitchen and Nobby’s Arc’s recent revamp so you know the menu (and the cocktails) are five-star too. The perfect addition to Nobby’s foodie scene.
Where: 28 Chairlift Ave, Nobby Beach

Café Sofi
The official meeting space of Helensvale’s new leaisure centre, The Surrounds, Café Sofi can be found set within lush gardens and with views across the grassy parklands. The newbie offers all of your breakfast and lunch favourites with a few unique flavours thrown in for good measure. If you’re up that way, make sure you stop in for some goodies at the perfect place to kick back and relax.

i like ramen

The beloved vegan joint is back on the Coast after a little stint in Brisbane and we are extremely happy about it. Bringing their signature ramen, panko mushrooms (love you) and a whole lot of epic cocktails, the boys moved into a new Nobby’s space and were quickly overrun by super stoked locals. Unsurprisingly. Love everything about this place.

Loki
Squeezing in on the last day of the month was Loki by the good folks at Justin Lane. Taking up space where Hellenika once lived, the new Meditteranean-inspired space (with artwork by our very own Claudio Kirac) is serving up delicious eats and of course, an array of epic cocktails that are some of the very best around. We predict a lot of this newbie on our futures.
