Where to watch Blues on Broadbeach with a bevvy

It’s that time again Blues lovers, our very own festival celebrating the good-time genre of music that has been around for longer than most of us.

Yes, It’s Blues on Broadbeach time this weekend so pop your party shoes on and get ready to dance the weekend away. There are three stages set up throughout the weekend plus lots of gigs within the local venues themselves. The Star Stage can be found on Surf Pde, the Gold Coast Airport Stage is in the Broadbeach Mall and the 102.9 Hot Tomato Spotlight Stage is on the corner of Victoria Ave and Surf Pde.

102.9 HOT TOMATO SPOTLIGHT STAGE

The Loose Moose
This US-style bar and restaurant is the perfect spot for a couple of cold ones, a burger or two and some great live music. The Loose Moose, with its sweet, low-lit interior is found just next to Victoria Park overlooking the Griffith Stage. If your feet get to sore from dancing you know where to go for a break and a frosty one.
Where: 75 Surf Parade, Broadbeach

Moo Moo The Wine Bar + Grill
Said to be the Gold Coast’s best steak house, and a popular GC celebrity hang out, is Moo Moo The Wine Bar + Grill. If you like your blues a little bit fancy this is the perfect spot for you. Moo Moo’s overlooks Victoria Park giving you a great place to watch the action.

Cardamom Pod
Veggie lovers unite. Found in Victoria Park, this yummy plant based restaurant boasts a buffet style menu featuring both warm and cold dishes plus amazing raw desserts you have to try. They serve breakfast too so pop in any time of day and watch a little act or two while you’re there.

THE STAR STAGE

Koi Dining & Lounge Bar
Koi Dining, well known amongst locals, is a European-style restaurant boasting the ultimate in al fresco dining. With a blend of sophistication and style, extensive tastes and culinary delights, Koi is casual enough to pop in for a quick bite or the perfect place for a long lazy meal to watch the best Blues on Broadbeach has to offer. Kick back in the lounge area for a drink or by the fireplace. Koi has it all.

Frankies Brasserie
A relative newbie on the Broadbeach venue strip, Frankies Brasserie is offering refined dining with excellent Blues on Broadbeach views. Sit yourself out on the footpath to enjoy a decadent feast, a glass of wine or two and some quality tunes. They also do some of the most afforable (and tastiest) oysters around. Love this spot.

Rivea Italian
Exceptional Italian eats and five star stage views are the name of the game at this Surf Pde spot. By the Ridgeway gang who brought us the BiN family, Gotham Bar & Restaurant and Little Truffle (so you know it’s the goods), Rivea Italian specialises in housemade pizza, pasta and seafood dishes and all the very best paired wines. YES PLEASE.

GOLD COAST AIRPORT STAGE

The Terrace Bar
Up high at The Envy Hotel, The Terrace Bar is a newbie overlooking the Oasis Shopping Centre Mall and with listening opportunities for all of the music happening on at the Gold Coast Airport Stage throughout the weekend. Which is a lot. There’s also plenty of events within the venue itself. Happy days.

The Broadbeach
Found at the top of The Oasis Shopping Centre, The Broadbeach has recently been VERY fancied up and is the perfect spot to catch a few live tunes over the weekend. Open from breakfast to dinner, you can stop in any time for a bite to eat or a HUGE array of beverages to fuel you up. It’s right near the Gold Coast Airport Stage so you’ll be able to listen in while consuming all of the tasty goods.

Beachside Pavilion
Overlooking Kurrawa Park and specialising in all the yummy seafood dishes is Beachside Pavilion at the top of The Oasis Shopping Centre. Wander in for a casual tipple, some takeway fish and chips or an entire feast and treat your ears to some cruisy tunes while you’re at it. Open and airy, it’s the perfect spot for an afternoon session before venturing back out into the festival.
