GC Laughs Festival is back for a week of rib-tickling comedy

There’s nothing like a good laugh to get those good vibes flowing, especially if you’re having said good laugh for hours on end with your mates by your side at an event created specifically for the purpose of laughing.

Which is exactly what’s going to happen at GC Laughs Festival, returning to the Coast in March with a huge lineup of absolutely exceptional comedians.

The inaugural 2019 festival saw over 7000 tickets sold as our cities’ first stand alone comedy festival.

This year it’s going to be bigger, better and (somehow) even funnier than ever with a lineup that’ll have you scrambling for tickets. Which are onsale now by the way.

2020 highlights include the return of Australian comedian Joel Creasy after his massive sell out at the first festival, as well as other homegrown names including Becky Lucas, Heath Franklin’s Chopper and Gen Fricker.

The UK’s delightful James Veitch and Mark Watson, South Africa’s hilarious Dusty Rich and Scotland’s finest, Larry Dean, lead the way for international performers with New Zealand’s Jeremy Corbett hosting The Absolutely Mint Show – a gala night featuring some of New Zealand’s best, such as Melanie Bracewell and Ben Hurley.

The show has been created by Festival Directors Josh Armstrong (from Based Comedy) and Craig Ivanoff who have partnered to bring their years of experience in the comedy industry (lucky) together to allow us a fun-time festival.

Based Comedy is a local Gold Coast comedy business that has been bringing local, national and international acts to stages in bars, clubs and theatres across the city for four years. For which we are very grateful.

So, if you’re after a bit more laughter in your laugh, GC Laughs Festival is the answer.

Tickets are on sale now and the festival will run from the 14th to the 21st of March.

Get in quick, it’s sure to sell out!

WHERE: Home of the Arts, 135 Bundall Rd, Bundall
