Gold Coast icon, Carrara Markets, the largest marketplace in Australia, is launching a blend of food, community and culture every weekend with The Night Market launching on Friday October 11, 2019 due to community demand.
Carrara Markets has made its mark on the Gold Coast for over 40 years and will now deliver a kaleidoscope of food, flavours and sounds at night by combining great food and drink, live entertainment and family fun with a host of existing market stalls.
The Night Market at Carrara Markets will pop up every Friday and Saturday night from 5pm to 9pm where you can expect over 30 cafes, festive food tents and bars.
There will be a real family focus with a range of kid’s Carnival Rides added to the market’s daytime favourites – the Putt Putt Mini Golf, Bungy Trampoline, Face Painting and Pony Rides.
The foodie offering is extensive and combines a multicultural feast of foods such as Japanese, Korean, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Malay, Greek, Polish, and Turkish with Aussie favourites such as BBQ ribs and lamb.
There will also be a choice of quality dine-in establishments with the market’s Hungry Hub restaurant, open at night along with other market favourites; The Tasty Thai, Market Sushi, The Churro Café, Tommy’s Wok, Danny’s Kiwi Café, Markets Bakery, Adriatic Deli and The Taswegian Cafe.
With a community hub feel, you can kick back and enjoy live music with three music entertainment zones offering a music style for everyone from soothing soul with chilled buskers to duos and bands on the main stage.
You won’t miss the spectacle either as you drive along Gooding Drive. Hundreds of metres of fairy and festoon lights have been installed around the markets and food tents to create a magical twilight market atmosphere.
The Night Market at Carrara has also rolled out the red carpet for custom car enthusiasts with reserved parking areas for Car Shine & Show meets each Friday and Saturday market nights which will be an incredible spectacle.
It wouldn’t be Carrara Markets if there wasn’t a chance to do some bargain shopping too with over 150 of the market’s daytime stalls staying open for ‘Late Night Shopping’ whilst the food market is in full swing.
With free parking on offer, entry to The Night Market is $3 and for this, patrons receive a $4 credit at the 3 market bars and many of the kids attractions including mini golf.
