Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is pleased to announce the commencement of chilled-out Sunday Sessions at the Village Green.
From 5 December, Sanctuary Sounds Presents Sunday Sessions events will run every Sunday throughout summer from 1 – 5pm. Featuring a different musical act each week, the event will have a chilled out, family-friendly vibe, providing community members the opportunity to get together for food and drinks as the sun goes down while supporting local artists.
Sunday, December 5 – Nadia Sunde
Nadia Sunde presents a stylish collection of blues and jazz-infused covers and originals, featuring stellar musicians Peta Leigh Wilson on keys and Andrew Shaw on double bass. Drawing on her Croatian and Argentinian heritage, Nadia’s voice has been described as ‘velvety’, ‘rich’ and ‘resonant’. Nadia is the recipient of multiple national and international songwriting and performance awards including an International Song Writing Award.

Sunday, December 26 – Shenzo Gregorio Quartet
Virtuoso viola player, jazz musician, composer, and stuntman, Shenzo Gregorio brings his gypsy jazz quartet to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Considered amongst peers to be one of the most creative violinists in Australia, Shenzo’s approach to jazz pays homage to tradition while at the same time bringing an inventive flair to the art form.
