Whoever invented the buffet is our hero. Wait, we’ll check on who it was (dramatic pause doesn’t really work here does it).
Anyway, the smörgåsbord (same, same) became internationally known as ‘smorgasbord’ at the 1939 New York World’s Fair exhibition because the Swedes had to invent a new way of showcasing the best of Swedish food to large numbers of visitors. How fun.

It’s a quality over quantity affair at Palazzo Versace’s Il Barocco. The team use the very best, locally sourced seafood and the aim of the game is to create a fresh, diverse looking buffet. Besides exceptional seafood, there are both hot and cold meats, vegetarian dishes and the prettiest dessert section. Treat yourself why don’t you. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It’s a seafood buffet extravaganza in Main Beach and, having tried and tested this one ourselves recently, we can tell you it’s got all the very best things. Yes, fresh seafood galore but also a whole charcuterie section, an excellent Asian dish section and MANY delicious desserts. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Frenzy’s Food Court
Catering to the entire family Frenzy’s, at Southport Sharks, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers an extensive buffet selection featuring dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world, and lots of weekly specials. The all-you-can-eat buffet offers a tasty range of meats, salads, international dishes and desserts, all available from 5.30pm every night. One of the most beautifully presented buffets around is Citrique at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa. They are renowned for a next-level, seasonal seafood selection and it is the goods. Every dish you could possibly want is available at Citrique including yum cha, sushi, curries, antipasto, European dishes and specialties like Black Angus steak and Barramundi with crab risotto. It’s open for breakfast and dinner daily and lunch Saturday and Sunday.

We would like to boldly state that QT Gold Coast’s Bazaar is one of the best buffets in the world and if you have not been, there is no excuse that will suffice. The chefs create made to order dishes right in front of your eyes and there are pizzas, fresh and cooked seafood, slow roasted meats, epic salads, an Asian food section and the best dessert offering on the Coast. It’s an absolute must-try and open for breakfast, dinner and Sunday brunch.

Waves Buffet Restaurant
Hello chocolate dipped strawberries that you may dip in a chocolate fondue fountain. Not to mention the make your own salads and stir fry’s section, seasonal international dishes, cheeses and meats AND an in-house patisserie. What a time. Open for breakfast and dinner.

How good is a revolving restaurant with 360-degree views of the Gold Coast? If you’re unsure it’s about time you found out and you can do that at Four Winds, Queensland’s only revolving restaurant and a buffet to boot. There’s also an epic array of dishes to sample including macadamia crusted pork loin. It’s a great experience all round. Open for lunch and dinner.

The baby of the bunch, Harvest Buffet has recently been added to The Star Gold Coast’s epic lineup of eats, taking the place of much-loved Food Fantasy. The fresh seafood section is the star of the show and there is also a fried chicken dish that’ll change your life. Don’t go past the smokey, South American grille meats section and the Chinese BBQ station. There is also many a delicious dessert to sample including a chocolate fountain to dip things in. Best.
