Righto blokes and sheilas it’s that time of year again, the one day we get to live our best Aussie lives, proudly display our favourite pluggas and eat all the sausage sangas we like.
Yes, Australia Day (Tuesday 26th January) is upon us and fair dinkum (sorry almost done), it’s going to be a bloody ripper!
Here are some true blue spots to celebrate our great southern land with an ice cold schooner and your rowdiest crew (from north to south).
Enjoy live music and free gelato at Sanctuary Cove on Australia Day. From 10am – 2pm hear Wes Taylor play live on The Village Green (located outside Quay Street Cafe). From 12pm – 4pm hear Mark Divola play live on The Docks (located outside Sanctuary Cove Tavern). Book a table or grab takeaway food from your favourite Sanctuary Cove cafe and enjoy a picnic on the grass. There’ll also be free gelato from 11am on The Village Green – but get in quick, it won’t last long.

From early arvo on Australia Day you and the fam will be entertained with a FREE Reptile Show for the kids (4pm), a Kids Disco with LOL Crew (5.30pm), live Music from Acoustic BBQ Duo (7.30pm) and of course, kick on for some true-blue Aussie Tucker from the buffet in Frenzy’s from 5.30pm with the culinary likes of chops, bangers, steak, roasts and of course pavlova!

Pop into The Broadbeach on Australia Day for Aussie themed cocktails, food specials and only the best Aussie tunes. There’s also an Aussie Day Eve party from 2pm Monday the 25th of January so double the fun.

Celebrate Australia Day at Fat Freddy’s Beach Bar and Diner Broadbeach! They’ll be banging out the specials of Fresh Prawns and Australian Beers by the bucket all day long. Be sure not to miss out on the signature Australia Day Burger with house pickled beetroot and egg sunny side up! Fast times, epic Australia day eats and epic Aussie day eats!

It’s a Kath and Kim Party on Aus Day at Nobby’s fave good time venue, Nightcap from 6pm. Bust out your best 90s attire and prep for a very good time with DJ Joey Groth on the decks from 8pm. Dress code is the best of Kath and Kim and please don’t hold back Gold Coasters.

Bine Bar & Dining
It’s always a good time at Nobby’s epic Bine Bar & Dining and this Australia Day is no different. It’ll be an Outback Party for 2021 so get dressed up like you’re headed into the outback and it’ll certainly be a night to remember. There’ll be Aussie tunes by Benny O’Dwyer and Kate Mckay from early arvo until late plus food specials all day long.

Burleigh Heads Hotel
Celebrate Australia Day at Burleigh Heads Hotel with Aussie themed eats and drinks and of course, the most epic view of the ocean right across the road.

It’s an Aussie Icon party at Burleigh’s good time venue Nightjar on Australia Day. Dress up in your finest green and gold for some Aussie tunes, live music and your fave local beers.

The Coolangatta Hotel
Celebrate our great nation at the Cooly on Tuesday 26th January, where there’ll be free live entertainment from Mark Sheils at 3.30pm and Agent 77 at 8pm. For those who prefer something sweet, you’ll be able to sip back on one of our Aussie themed cocktail specials. Entry is free folks, so round up your gang for an all Aussie celebration
