Getting dressed up and scaring the bejesus out of other people is one of life’s greatest pleasures whether you’re into Halloween or not.
Let’s face it, the Gold Coast is the perfect place to don your craziest costume and head out for a good time. Here are seven scary events where you can get your creep on.
Step right up, step right up to Stingray’s Sinister Circus. A night of marvelous macabre awaits…if you dare! Halloween descends on Stingray Lounge where the Sinister Circus showcases a truly despicable display of freaky amusement. Our kooky crew will create a host of creepy concoctions, while the ghouls in the kitchen have cooked up some Frankenstein Quesadillas. Prepare for a scare.

Steampunk Surfers Paradise is getting into the Halloween spirit and have crafted three deliciously spooky cocktails that will be added to the menu including the IT – with white chocolate, Grand Marnier, Champagne syrup and strawberry together with ‘helium, clowning and fear’. The Black Widow features Absolut Vanilla, Alpine Violet Blossom, Licor 43, Honeycomb Syrup, Citric Acid with the addition of ‘Devil Juice’ and Cobwebs and the Gravedigger has Melon Liqueur, Apple Juice, Lychee Liqueur, Lillet Rosé, lemon and ‘creepy critters and eyeballs’. YUM.

Halloween at House of Brews
Creepy cocktails, dress ups and a whole lot of fun are on the agenda at House of Brews in Surfers Paradise. Oh and there’ll also be plenty of beer.

Halloween Party from Hell
Party across two levels at the Main Bar and Level 2 Nightclub in Melba’s on the Park. Sip on creepy cocktails, dance to the sinister sounds of resident DJs and show off your scary wares – there’ll be prizes for best dressed guests.

Spooktacular at Skypoint
As the sun sets over the Gold Coast, the ghosts and ghouls will come out to play at SkyPoint Observation Deck this Halloween. Three special events are planned for the 28th, 29t and 31st of October! Event is included in your SkyPoint Night Admission ticket: Spooktacular entertainment including zombies and ghosts, a complimentary beverage on arrival plus canapés and live music.

Halloween at NightQuarter
NightQuarter has been brewin’ up a Halloween party filled with devilish desserts, ghoulish delights, and trick or treating until moonlight. Families of frightening creatures of the night are invited to eat, drink and be scary at NightQuarter for a spooktacular Trick and Treat Hunt and a wickedly good time. There’ll be a scary makeup station, spooky magic show and classic movie screening.

Halloween Massacre-ade Ball
This is a ritual for the damned and wicked. The pinnacle of the dress-up calendar, you’re bloodily invited to fall victim to this year’s Massacre-ade Ball. Themed dress granted free entry before 11pm, with sips from the chalice extended all the way till 5am.

Sailor Jerry Zombie Party
Nightjar, Burleigh’s newest bar is pulling out all the stops on Sunday (a whole weekend of creepiness, how fun) with Halloween themed cocktails, blood shots and face painting with the coolest crowd in town. There’s live music too but get in early as it’s sure to fill up fast.

Being outside amongst many other people seems like the least terrifying way to watch a scary movie. Luckily, you can do exactly that thanks to Openair Cinemas. They’re screening IT (shudder) and Mother one after the other at Queen Elizabeth Park and good lord that’s gotta be your scare-quota for the year filled doesn’t it?

Halloween at The Avenue
Get freaky at The Avenue. On Tuesday 31st October. It’ll be an evening of terror, gore and good fun. Get the costume ready because they’re giving away prizes for the most terrifying! There’ll also be face painting, a DJ and free entry. It would be a GRAVE mistake to miss it.
