Another popular activity for the kids to remember is Whale watching. Whether you want to experience those magnificent creatures close up with Whales in Paradise or Spirit of Gold Coast, or spot them from shore is up to you. Sure to be an experience they'll never forget.
What's not to love about the new Pacific Fair, great food, world-class shopping, a cinema, the list goes on. If that's not enough to keep you and the fam entertained, there's Build-a-Bear and Krispy Kreme decorating workshops and a Blinky Bill meet and greet. SO many fun things.

Robina Town Centre is bringing loads of fun this school holidays with the opening of Ice Age Mini Golf, an indoor course featuring huge ice age animals that move and make noise PLUS there'll be a LEGO overload program with two zones popping up over the next two weeks. There'll be challenges and plenty of good times to be had.

Broadwater Parklands in Southport should be every parents favourite place to be (especially in the holidays). As per usual, there are going to be loads of fun activities like the Farmyard Fun Day (Sunday the 17th), Circus Play, mini jeep rides and a balloon art workshop. There's something to fill every day.

Join Australia Fair Metro these school holidays and learn how to draw or get crafty in the kids corner! Learn how to make a tassel beaded necklace or a funky cool pair of binoculars. There's also free interactive story times and arts and craft sessions.

Every child needs some outdoors time, away from the Ipads. Well, lucky that Mount Tamborine is only a 40 min drive from Surfers Paradise but will feel like you're transported to a little village somewhere in Europe. Get amongst one of the many walking trails and discover beautiful waterfalls, have a picnic at Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens or just stroll along the Gallery Walk located on Long Road and discover cute little cafes, wineries and shops (you can't go past Fudge Heaven).
Winter on the Gold Coast is usually accompanied by beautiful, sunny days, the perfect time to grab the kids, pack your picnic bags and enjoy your cheese and cracker in one of these amazing picnic spots.
The Arts Centre are hosting some exciting FREE creative workshops for the kiddies this school holidays. Choose from Nature Play and JUWSPA Kids - a faux underwater play time where the kids are the star of the show.

They've created a huge program of free, family-friendly entertainment across seven days of fun and excitement for children of all ages from tots to teens. The characters from Despicable Me 3 headline this year’s event from Saturday 23 to Friday 29 September.
