Because all the best things deserve a day of dedication, Monday the 10th of July is Pina Colada Day.

Right on the waters edge in the Broadwater Parklands, Café Catalina has recently become a crowd favourite due to its stunning water views and modern menu. We all know what goes best with water views don’t we? That’s right, a sweet, sweet Pina Colada. The café is famously pooch friendly so grab your furry mate and settle in for a couple of cocktails.

Glass Dining & Lounge Bar
If spectacular water views are your thing, pencil in a Pina Colada at Marina Mirage. Glass overlooks the Broadwater so you can sip your cocktail in sophisticated style. The fruity beverage is made with old faithful’s Bacardi, Malibu, pineapple juice, lime juice and coconut cream so you can truly experience a Pina Colada in paradise.

As with all the Fix Bar cocktails, the Pina Colada is a taste sensation. Made up of premium ingredients including Havana Club Anejo 3 Anos light rum, coconut syrup, fresh pineapple and cream, this one has certainty earned its place as the top of the crop.

El Patio de Cuba
Serving up good old fashioned Cuban hospitality and Pina Colada’s galore, El Patio de Cuba uses traditional Coco Lopez coconut cream sourced directly from the beautiful Bahamas. With both Malibu coconut rum, Havana Especial Rum and fresh pineapple juice, El Patio De Cuba’s Colada is punchy perfection.

The Island Rooftop
Surfers Paradise’ rooftop bar is a favourite for sunny Sunday sessions and their Island Colada perfectly fits the profile. Made with pineapple juice, coconut cream and Havana Charta it’s a traditional-style Pina Colada with some extra island vibes thrown in to get the party started.

Delightfully name the Comuna Colada, this one is pretty in pink! One of their most Instagrammed cocktails it’s made of Pampero Blanco rum, coconut liqueur, coconut cream, pineapple juice and dragonfruit. Pair it with a taco or two and you’ve got yourself a colour-filled, tropical feast.

Justin’s Colada has that extra special something, as you’d expect from the Burleigh legend. Available by the glass or in a carafe it’s made from white rum, coconut water, pineapple, coconut syrup and orange blossom. Head up to the rooftop bar and soak up the sunshine while sipping on their signature fruity concoction.

Of course one of the coolest bars on the Gold Coast is serving up the cocktail of the day. The Bonita Colada is made with Angostura Rum, peach bitters, pineapple and coconut foam and it’s as pretty as it is delicious.
