What's not to love about Thai food? It's healthy, tasty, crowd friendly and the perfect take away option to have on a Friday night in. So why not get cosy on your couch and order some tummy warming Thai food from one of our top 11 Thai restaurants on the Gold Coast:
1. House of Siam, Hope Island
Location, location, location! House of Siam in Hope Island is right on the marina overlooking the pier and million dollar yachts offering a great atmosphere accompanied by delicious food. You might not want takeaway from this one since the ambience of the restaurant is half the experience.
Where: Marina Shopping Village, 5 Santa Barbara Rd, Hope Island
2. Chiangmai, Surfers Paradise/ Broadbeach
Situated on the Gold Coast Highway in Broadbeach, Chiangmai Thai is a well known spot amongst locals. How can you miss it, with the brightest display of fairy lights outside of Christmas? Due to this restaurant being continuously booked out, they were pressured to open a second venue in Surfers.
Owners Michael and Nopporn know how to create the perfect balance between sweet, sour and spicy so expect only the best. And if you're spoilt for choice and can't decide what to get, try the Massaman Beef Curry (you'll just have to trust us on this one!).
Where: 2779 Gold Coast Hwy, Broadbeach and 5-19 Palm Ave, Surfers Paradise
3. Thai Silom, Broadbeach
This beautifully decorated restaurant has plenty of great things on the menu (all msg free!) but we like to go with the chef recommended Coconut Lime Prawns or the Fig Lamb. Make sure you pop in to check out their lunch specials and BYO! *pssst we have a discount voucher too!*
Where: 17B Albert Avenue, Broadbeach
4. Little Malaya, Broadbeach
Don’t let the name deceive you. In addition to the traditional Malaysian cuisine, you will find an array of Asian signature dishes including Thai!
We are a huge fan of their Tom Yum soups and Pad Thai, but while there, why not try their Coffee Pork Ribs, two loves combined!
Where: 17/19 Albert Ave, Broadbeach
5. Mamasan, Broadbeach
While not a Thai restaurant per se, the menu includes some Thai specialities you need to try now! Oysters with Thai Green chilli, nam jim and finger lime followed by the Thai Chilli Jam Prawns with kaffir lime, dehydrated pineapple and cucumber ribbons, then finish your evening with the Ginger and lemongrass cheesecake with kaffir lime, mango and Asian crisps.
Where: 3 Oracle Blvd, Broadbeach
6. Chong Co Thai, Pacific Fair
It's hard to believe you're actually inside a shopping centre when dining at Pac Fair's new food court (you could even bring your Tinder date here). Right next to all-time favourite Ben and Jerry's and Bin232 is a great little Thai restaurant worth a visit - Chong Co Thai. They offer all the classics from your much-loved Pad Thai to Tom Yum soup. And a great option for a quick meal before a movie.

7. Basil Thai, Nobby Beach
Tucked away along Nobby’s food strip is Basil Thai, a cosy, no fuss Thai restaurant bringing you everything you would expect from your local! The portions are huge, it's a great place to take your friends and share a couple of dishes. You’ll also find it exciting to get into the seats. If you’ve been there you’ll understand. If you haven’t don’t wear heels! They also have BYO and takeaway!
Where: 2243 Gold Coast Hwy, Nobby Beach
8. Thai I Am, Miami
This little gem situated at Miami One Shopping Centre is a personal top pick and a reliable take away shop (they do have a couple of tables to eat in) serving up authentic Thai dishes. Service is always top notch and the lunch-special menu available daily from 12pm - 3pm will keep coming back!
Where: Miami One Shopping Centre, Miami
9. ZabIsan, Burleigh Heads
It's always a good sign when you can't score a table on a quiet Tuesday night, those guys must be doing something right! Zab Isan on the Gold Coast Highway in Burleigh bring you the best dishes North Thailand has to offer, but be warned, they can be damn spicy! We highly recommend the Pineapple Chicken Curry, eat in or take away!

10. Oz Thai, Palm Beach
The cat’s out of the bag about this Palmy favourite. Cherished by locals, we are yet to hear a bad review of this joint. Oz Thai serve up simple but delicious Thai foodto very reasonable prices.
