Are you guilty of posting way too much on Instagram?

Well, we don't blame you, but those brekky shots and selfies are really getting old. So here’s some Gold Coast inspiration to get those much loved 'likes'.  Because, if it's not on Instagram it didn't happen…

1.     Surfers Paradise Sign, Surfers Paradise

It's on every Gold Coast tourists bucket list and makes the perfect background for a ‘look where I am’ picture. The Surfers Paradise sign is located right where the bustling Cavill Ave meets the beach. Try to make it for sunrise (whether you get up, or stay up, we won’t judge!).

2.     SkyPoint Observation Deck, Q1, Surfers Paradise

There is no better place to take pictures of the Gold Coast's continuous beaches or the beautiful hinterland than at SkyPoint Observation Deck in Surfers Paradise. The magnificent 360-degree view gives you the perfect setting for that postcard Instagram shot (whether that be at sunset or at night). We even have a discount voucher waiting  here for you!

3.      Natural Bridge, Springbrook National Park

Springbrook National Park offers you a couple of great Insta pic locations, the most beautiful and unique being the Natural Bridge rock arch.  When you get the right angle and the light hits the water running through the cave, it’s a guaranteed winner! So make sure your battery is fully charged and get ready for a rain forest adventure (watch out for the cave dwelling bats!).

4.    Borrowed Nursery, Mermaid Beach

      Never before has a plant nursery gained such a cult-like following so quickly (or perhaps ever). The Borrowed Nursery in Mermaid Beach draws plant               lovers and photographers in droves due to its Instagram famous pastel pink wall and bespoke greenery. The stunning space also hosts workshops but if         that’s not your jam at least pop in for some healthy retail therapy and an Insta-snap.

5.     Miami Hill, Miami

Miami Hill is a fitness junkie’s summit, but the lookout also gives you great views of Surfers Paradise and Coolangatta. You may snap some great pics during the day, but we urge you to make the effort and go during sunrise or sunset - it's mind blowing and you won't even need a filter! #nofilter

6.     Burleigh Point, Burleigh Heads

It's fairly safe to say that we all took pictures at Burleigh Hill at some point. It’s where you can gloat about your location and get a million envious comments from overseas. a great location and gives you perfect views of Surfers Paradise' skyline. If you're lucky enough and your camera is top notch, you might even capture a whale breach!

7.     Tallebudgera Beach, Palm Beach

If taken from the right angle, a picture at Talle Creek can easily be mistaken for one of a beach in Thailand or the Caribbean (but it’s on the coast and that’s even better). The calm waters and palm trees are nothing short of #paradise!

8.     Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

When in Australia... You have to take a picture with a koala and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the spot for that! But there are many more photo opportunities, how about a kangaroo selfie or capturing the crocodile feeding (#meanwhileinaustralia)! 9.     Currumbin Rock/Elephant Rock, Currumbin Beach

There is not just one but two huge rocks at Currumbin Beach and they're the perfect natural objects for your next Instagram pic! Who doesn't love a great scenic shot of the deep blue sea?

Hot tip: Visit during Swell Sculpture Festival held in September and take pictures of the abstract outdoor sculpture gallery against the ocean.

10.  Big Koala Sculpture, Coolangatta

A guaranteed crowd pleaser amongst your Insta followers will be the big koala sculpture in Coolangatta (there are actually 30 koala sculptures scattered around the Gold Coast, starting in Tweed all the way up to Southport)! It’s a perfect photo op for when you're on a budget and can't make it to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary for an actual koala. 11.  Waterfalls, various locations

With so many waterfalls and rock pools to choose from it's not easy to decide which ones to visit. You should probably just go see them all but here at Inside Gold Coast Killarney Glen is a top pick. Why? It's got a heart shaped rock pool, need we say more?  To visit Killarney Glen type Killarney Glen in your phone and it should take you right there, however in case you are in the stone age, it’s on Beechmont Road in Witheren, about 45 min outside of Surfers Paradise. Keep an eye out for the sign and dirt car park.

12.  Big Avocado

In Australia we love BIG. Big pineapples, prawns, bananas, but at Durranbah, we have the Big Avocado. Located at the entrance to Tropical Fruit World on the way to Byron Bay (there are actually two big Avocados, but one's right at the highway so please don’t stop at this one, it’s on a highway people). While your down there, grab some some yummy fruit ice cream and sue this discount voucher.
