The Avenue

The Avenue has been around since the height of the Gold Coast party scene. It was a place for nights you don’t remember, but with friends you’ll never forget. Or in the case of the midget tosses and topless hunky-male waiters, those were nights you’ll never ever forget!

After 34 years of good times, the Russo bros. are keeping em’ rolling by saying buh-bye to the old Avenue, and HELLOOO to the new Avenue

Now, there was nothing wrong with the old Avenue, but owners Michael and Vince wanted to take us back to a simpler time (and the building is getting torn down). Their father came from a small island off of Sicily where meals were shared. They took their time to eat, and accompanied their meals with great wine. Drawing from their roots, the brothers have decided to step away from the fish and chips and opt for a more upscale menu.

Focusing on shared plates, the menu includes delicacies such as Sesame Crusted Tuna, Wagyu Beef Chimmichuri Pinchos, Sweet Pork Belly Skewers, Garlic Rosemary Lamb, a large Charcuterie arrangement and Wood-fired Pizza.

The food is simply fantastic, but the real show stopper at The Avenue is its multi-million dollar fit out.
It’s everything Surfers Paradise has been needing! A beautiful timber lined dining area, relaxed front porch, a coffee bar, THREE bars, a tea room and a state-of-the-art soundproof club await. It’s everything you could want from a night out, under one roof. You party animals that called the old Avenue home, don't worry, there are plenty of nostalgic decorations tacked around the new venue; Chloe still hangs on the wall and so does Yak.
Plus they still have live music seven nights a week and GREAT drink specials. Did someone say $60 bottle of Moet? And speaking of drinks, you’ve got to try the Rocky Horror Pitcher. Cuervo Tequila, Passionfruit Liqueur, Passionfruit Syrup and Blood Orange. Or try one of their beers, they are one of the few places in Australia with a copper Carlton Draft brew fresh tank (that means the beer is super fresh and doesn't have preservatives).

Stop in and check out all the upgrades to The Avenue. Directly across the street from the old location.
