The Gold Coast Breakfast Scene is SO HOT right now!

There’s no denying it, breakfast is KING on the Gold Coast!

Restauranteurs on the coast have taken the saying 'there's more than way way to cook an egg...' very literally.
Show a Gold Coast chef 100 ways to cook an egg and they will show you 101.

If there's something Gold Coasters can export to the world. It's our breakfast or 'brunch', depending on what time you surface. Maybe it's our easy going lifestyle that draws us to meet with our friends in the morning for a relaxed catch-up, without the fuss of getting dressed to the nines for a fancy dinner. Or maybe it's that we like to delight and dine in our fantastic weather outdoors, filling that night time void of rooftop bars.

No where in the world have I experienced a more varied menu than on the Gold Coast. There truly is something for everyone. From a hearty BIG breakfast to the latest brekky trend of acai or pitaya bowls (active wear optional). You want pancakes, you got it! The healthy 'I Quit Sugar' protein kind or the maple syrup and bacon kind?

Foraging their way through the garden and making their way to your plate, breakfast chefs are finding innovative ways to use food and flavour combos previously reserved for dinner and making them lighter and worthy of the most important meal of the day!

Most of the places you go will have food sourced locally, which is nice because you know with every meal you are helping the community flourish.

The coffee scene around here isn't half bad either. With new coffee shops rolling in like waves, we get to splash in a sea of Australia’s finest brews on a daily basis.

Dare I say we could give the metropolitan cities to the south a run for their money?!!  While Melbourne may still hold the title for best coffee, if you want a complete breakfast, the Gold Coast is the place.
