2016 has been an eventful year to say the least. With a lot of negative news from David Bowie, Prince, George Michael and Carrie Fisher passing away to Donald Trump as the new President of the United States.

Buuuut on a positive note, the Gold Coast has experienced the biggest invasion of new eateries, cafes and bars yet. Which ones made our list of the best openings of 2016?
